# Chronicles

In ancient times, the continent of **Porcinia** thrived. Every corner of the world was inhabited by **Fungaloids** - small mushroom folk who spent their days in harmony with the world around them, bringing life to the forests, and doing their part to maintain the circle of life. As settlements grew, more and more Fungaloid made their way to the larger kingdoms, leaving the less hospitable parts of Porcinia bare and untreated. Unfortunately, these barren lands became a breeding ground for **The Rot**, the natural evil of the world. The Rot overtook plants and consumed creatures in its wake. Those affected by The Rot became **Rot Monsters** - used to spread The Rot even further, infecting a plague upon Porcinia.

With the Rot affecting the Fungaloids’ habitat, some newborn Fungaloid began to develop mysterious magical powers. Some Fungaloid were unable to harness this magical energy and met an untimely fate, while others used their newfound powers to protect their kingdoms, and chase away incoming Rot.

With many kingdoms in disarray and The Rot spreading like never before, a small group of heroes has emerged to fight back the Rot and restore peace to the natural world. Join the heroes as they cleanse Porcinia of the Rot, one biome at a time!

The Rot is an enigmatic force, laying waste to all organisms it possesses. Those who wish to challenge it must be well equipped for the journey. Choose your heroes wisely, and lead them into battle, gaining loot, experience, and new friends along the way.
